First, let's take a look at the product page (we will configure such a product later in this article).

These extra fields have been added with Flexible Product Fields:

When they choose an extra field, they can see the summary before adding it to the cart:

2️⃣ How to add custom fields to products?

First, you will need the free Flexible Product Fields plugin. We will use it to configure all the options for WooCommerce products, for example, in your t-shirt store. It is a lightweight and easy-to-use product page designer.

3️⃣ Create a customizable t-shirt in WooCommerce!

Ok, so let's now see how to configure such a customizable t-shirt product in your WooCommerce.

1. Create custom fields for the WooCommerce product

   First, we will have to add a new field group.

   Choose Products → Product Fields in your WordPress menu. Then you need to add a new field group:

   

   Next, assign that group to a product, category, or all the products in your store.

   That's how the group of fields should look like:

   

2. Adjust the t-shirt's custom fields

   Now click, for example, the first field (Sex - Radio Field) to configure it:

   

   As you can see, we have a Radio field type here.

   I decided to make this field Required. There are also field Options.

   The plugin will save the Value in the WooCommerce order. And the Label is what a customer sees on the product page.

   💡 You can also set your CSS Class for custom fields.

   Next, Grammage field. It looks very familiar and similar to the previous one:

   Now we have something new. That's the Text field type.

   I set Character Limit to 30 characters and a fixed price (available in PRO).

   

   The last one is the Gift wrapping field. This is the Checkbox field type. Here, I also added extra pricing in the Pricing field:
