Flexible Product Fields extends WooCommerce product options with additional custom fields. Thanks to the plugin you may customize WooCommerce products to your needs. With FPF, as a store manager, you may also get the WooCommerce product URL to see any available attribute or product custom fields.

Sometimes, your customers ask about or would like to see the specific product configuration right away!

By default, WooCommerce won't give you this option. But, now you can use a WooCommerce plugin to get and save the exact product URL with product attributes and custom fields. Let's see how to do that!

The standard URL of a WooCommerce product

👉🏼 The default WooCommerce product URL gives you no indication of its attributes.

You get them only as additional information on the product page:

👉🏼 If you use variable products, you let customers choose the variation from the attributes.

 🔗 But, still, you can't get the product URL with a predefined configuration.

That's because a WooCommerce variable product does not have a separate URL for each variant. Of course, this may not be a problem for all stores and the simple URL may suffice.

✅  You may want to send a customer a specific product configuration so that he can see the exact product!

I will use the Flexible Product Fields plugin to add custom fields and an option to get the WooCommerce product URL.

👉🏼  What's more, as a store owner, you may use an additional "Save product config" button on the product page (just above the "Add to cart" button).

The button will save the current configuration of the selected product as an URL. The address with parameters will appear after reloading the page.

The idea for a new function appeared thanks to our client. His shop was offering paragliding flights and he was keen to create a pricing table with available packages and links to them. But each package was not a separate product.

Also, it will be simple to personalize the product for a specific customer.

• on other subpages of the store (e.g. in the menu or the price table)
• in social media in emails and mailings
• in emails and mailings
• using AdWords campaigns
• using a banner (or another graphic element) on the site
• when communicating with a client in a chat or other support tool
• and other cases
