Today, I will give you all you need to export products and product categories in WooCommerce 🙂. What’s more, you’ll see a plugin to easily adjust the exported data to get the things you need, nothing more. Let’s begin 🚀!

3 methods to export WooCommerce products
The first two methods are available in standalone WordPress and WooCommerce. The third option is the most advanced (a paid plugin).
And of course, I will focus on categories. So, I will show you how each option lets you export WooCommerce products with categories.
Export products in WordPress
WordPress lets you export all or selected data to XML files:
You may also export WooCommerce products with their categories. The exported XML file will contain all information and meta of products. You will get product categories as well in the category nodes.
The downside of this approach is that you cannot adjust the exported data.
Export products in WooCommerce
But you may use the default WooCommerce product exporter to create a CSV file. And here you can choose the product data you need. So, you can choose to export WooCommerce products with product categories. What’s more, you may select to get products only from specific categories or product types.
So, WooCommerce lets you choose the product data and create a customized CSV file.
Export products with a PRO plugin
Finally, you can use a plugin to export WooCommerce products with categories. I will use Dropshipping Export Products for WooCommerce below.

It seems it’s quite similar to the default WooCommerce exporter, right? Not quite, as the most important features lie ahead 🙂. Let’s see them.
Export products with product categories (plugin options)
1️⃣ First, thanks to conditional logic, you’re able to choose specific conditions for exported data.
2️⃣ Next, you can choose the product data to export (choosing and naming the fields). You may also use options for attributes or price, and stock modifiers.
3️⃣ Finally, you may set the automatic schedule for exports and some other options. They may be very useful if you want to synchronize products with different stores for dropshipping.
These additional options inside the plugin give you much more flexibility and customization.
Adjust the exported data for categories
Let's see the first two features to export WooCommerce products with categories.
Thanks to conditional logic, I’m able to define which products will be exported based on their categories, price, stock, etc.
With product fields mapper and price/ stock modifiers, I can create a customized file for a retailer, dropshipping, or migration purposes.
As you can see, the plugin lets me adjust the data and export WooCommerce products with categories. I may also change the export settings fast, copy, or create multiple export files easily.
More export features & how to import the products
After I export WooCommerce products with categories I may need to import them 🙂.
Let’s assume I want to export all products from 2 categories with the price between $100 and $200 and import them to a new store designed for selected products only.
You’ve already seen how to use conditional logic for price. So, we’ve exported such products, and now we want to import them to a brand new WooCommerce store.
