WooCommerce 3.0 is just around the corner. In this post we will cover more technical stuff and compatibility with WP Desk plugins. We also wrote a piece about WooCommerce 3.0 features.
CRUD
That is one of the most powerful changes in 3.0, which can set a whole new way path of development for WooCommerce. Developers needed to find a way to increase performance and scalability. They decided to go for abstracting the code. Less code is always less mistakes and errors. Using new CRUD classes, we define the structured data for each resource. As a developer, you don’t need to know the internals of the data you're working with, just the names.
This will result in simpler plugins development but right now plugin developers, including WP Desk, need to spend a great deal of time to support CRUD and at the same time to keep backwards compatibility.
